About the event
The first part of this hike takes us past the iconic Colmers Hill, a hill topped with Scots Pine trees planted in memory of soldiers who died in WW1. If you wish to climb to the top you will find breathtaking views of Dorset. This climb is optional!
We will then make our way to the famous Hell Lane - running between Symmondsbury and North Chideock, it is an ancient and deep Holloway dating back to prehistoric times. It is one of the most impressive in the country.
Prepare to feel yourself being watched by eerie carvings as we then head through Shutes Lane.
This is a 5.5 mile walk - the challenges here are the steep hill at the start, and the rutted uneven lanes. These could still be a little muddy and as we also cross a small stream appropriate footwear is a must.
