Meet Claire, the Founder of Talkthewalks
Talkthewalks was created from a simple belief: Walking is better when it’s shared.
My connection with Dorset goes back many years. My grandmother lived in the area and my mum grew up here, so Dorset was always somewhere special to our family.
Growing up, I spent many holidays visiting, exploring the coastline and countryside and gradually building a lifelong love for the landscape.
Four years ago I was lucky enough to make Dorset my home, settling in Swanage and finally having these beautiful hills, coast paths and countryside right on my doorstep.

The Experience
Time outdoors has a way of resetting everything.
Fresh air. Open space. A slower pace.
But what truly defines Talkthewalks is the sense of connection, people arriving as individuals and leaving as part of something more.
Whether you’re looking to meet others, build confidence or simply take time for yourself, each walk is designed to feel relaxed, supportive and quietly uplifting.

Each route is planned with attention to detail, from terrain and distance to group experience, creating an environment where people feel comfortable and supported throughout.

Training includes Lowland Leadership, navigation, outdoor first aid and National Navigation Award Scheme qualifications, alongside membership with the Mountain Training Association.
Meet Martha, our Mascot!
Martha, the resident black Labrador, occasionally joins as trail companion.

She takes her role seriously, particularly when it comes to muddy paths and café stops.

We're looking ahead
